Michael Walsh, Chief Executive of Waterford City and County Council, has been appointed Chair of the County and City Management Association (CCMA).
The CCMA is the representative voice of local government management. Its members are Chief Executives of the County and City Councils and the Assistant Chief Executives of Dublin City Council.
Mr Walsh will serve a one-year term as Chair of the association, leading out on its strategic direction as it continues to represent advocate and influence policy on behalf of local authorities.
The Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) congratulates Mr Walsh on his appointment and looks forward to working closely with him in the year ahead.
Outgoing Chair
Mr Walsh’s appointment comes as Jackie Maguire, Chief Executive of Meath County Council, concludes her one-year term as CCMA Chair. The LGMA wishes to thank Ms Maguire for her leadership and dedication to the role and looks forward to continuing to work closely with her and colleagues in the CCMA.

- Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Planning

- Housing and Building
